Application Date

Saturday (9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)

(Note: Due to school activities, we may not be able to provide service on Saturdays. If you choose to come to school on Saturdays to complete the formalities, please call our school at 2253 6288 (Tin Shui Wai) / 3446 9178 (Lei Muk Shue) to make an appointment. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.)

How to Apply

Parents can submit the application form in the following ways:

i) Register in person at our school

• Submit the completed application form together with the required documents and application fee to our school for registration.

ii) Send the application form by mail

Please mail the completed application form together with the required documents and the application fee cheque to our kindergarten (please do not mail cash)

Note: Tin Shui Wai School Cheques should be made payable to: Castar Kindergarten

Lei Muk Shue School Cheques should be made payable to: Castar Kindergarten (Lei Muk Shue)

ii) Online Registration

• Log in to our school website to register. Once completed, please follow the instructions to upload the required documents

Application for “2025/26 Kindergarten Admission Registration Certificate”

• The Education Bureau has now implemented a free quality kindergarten education policy. Under this plan, the Education Bureau will use the “Kindergarten Admission Registration Card” as the K1 registration document for the 2025/26 school year.

• Parents must apply to the Education Bureau for the “2025/26 Kindergarten Admission Registration Certificate” for their children between September and November 2024. Applications for the “2025/26 Kindergarten Admission Registration Certificate” will start in September this year. The Education Bureau will then announce the application details and upload them to the Education Bureau website.

Admission Criteria

• Priority

– Brother/sister is studying in this kindergarten or a kindergarten affiliated to this school

– The brother/sister is a graduate of this kindergarten or a kindergarten affiliated to this school

– The parent is an employee or member of the school sponsoring organization

– School nearby

– Other considerations

For full-time classes, applicants with family needs will be given priority.

Note: Due to limited space, not all applicants who meet the priority criteria will be admitted.

Non-Chinese speaking students who require interpretation/translation service, please contact our kindergarten at 2253 6288 (Tin Shui Wai School)/ 3446 9178 (Lei Muk Shue School).

The school will also accept applicants and children to be accompanied by relatives or friends who understand Chinese to assist in communication.

Announcement of Admission Results

• Regardless of admission or not, the kindergarten will notify parents of the admission result by post before December 13, 2024.

Registration Arrangements

• Selected students

– Parents must go to the kindergarten to complete the registration procedures during the designated period between 2 January and 4 January 2025 (the “Uniform Registration Day”); and

– Submit the original copy of “2025/26 Kindergarten Admission Registration Certificate”; and

– Pay the registration fee

• Students on standby

– If the selected student fails to register at the school during the registration period, it means that he/she has automatically given up the place and the school will notify the reserve student to replace his/her place;

– At that time, our kindergarten will send a notification by post, asking parents to go to our kindergarten to complete the registration procedures on the designated date, and must submit the original copy of the “2025/26 Kindergarten Admission Registration Certificate” and pay the registration fee.

• Not recorded

– Parents can refer to the “Kindergarten Nursery Class (K1) Vacancy Information” published on the Education Bureau’s website, regional education service offices and telephone hotlines at the end of January 2024 to help parents find places for their children.

• Remark

– Parents please note that if valid registration documents are not submitted on the designated registration date, our kindergarten may not be able to complete the procedures for enrolling children. Therefore, parents must apply to the Education Bureau for the “2025/26 Kindergarten Admission Registration Certificate” within the designated date.

– The registration fee for the half-day class in the 2025/26 school year is HK$970, and the registration fee for the full-day class is HK$1,570. If the child is admitted to our school, the registration fee will be refunded to the parents in the first month after the start of school.

– However, if parents decide to transfer their children to another school after registration, please inform the kindergarten in writing. The kindergarten will return the “2025/26 Kindergarten Admission Registration Certificate”, but the registration fee will not be refunded. After the “2025/26 Kindergarten Admission Registration Certificate” is retrieved, the kindergarten will no longer reserve a place for the child.
